Gender Roles - In the Media

Reading this article really proves a point on how women and men are viewed in movies. The article brings up a good point though because it is society who sets the expectation of how gender roles should be played. It's sad to say that even for our generation z - they will get pushed with gender roles through advertisements.

It seems that women are to be spoiled, beautiful and be a sexy role model for the hard-working men. Or the typical hot next door neighbor who has the the blonde hair, good looks but has no brain.

It is sad that when we watch TV or go to the movies that things like this doesn't matter. That to us it is actually normal. We can't see it as gender roles because as a society it is expected.
